Security
On the internet you will barely find a place without any kind of reference in the form of hyperlinks – or links in short. They will lead you to another page and you’ll not always be able to reliably tell its destination.

This can sometimes even be dangerous in regard to data security and identity theft.

But how can we find out if a link is safe to click on or not?

You might have heard about it at some point or another: “Be careful about what you click on” or “don’t click on that link, it’s a fraud”. While saying that, your counterpart might even have slightly rolled their eyes.

Spike In CryptoLocker Viruses Wed, Mar 23. 2016

Security
Here at Timfy Designs we have noticed a huge increase recently in one particularly nasty type of virus infection.
You receive an email from a friend, a trusted looking company or sometimes even from your own email address. Attached to the email is an innocuous looking file.
If you open this file a program will run in the background, locking out all of your files and you will get a message that to recover your data you have to send a specified amount of money, usually in untraceable bitcoins, to a specified server.
Of course, if you do pay the ransom, nine times out of ten your files will still remain locked. The lock system is such that it cannot easily be cracked. The only outcome will be completely wiping your computer and losing everything.

Remember Windows 1.0? It's been 30 years (and you're officially old) Sat, Nov 21. 2015

Miscellaneous
Windows 1.0On November 20, 1985, Microsoft unveiled its graphical operating system.

Windows 1.0 offered a new way to navigate a PC, clicking a cursor on various boxes rather than scrolling through lines of text in order to navigate data and applications. While arguably less efficient than a command line, the graphical user interface (GUI) was more intuitive and easier for novice users to manage.
